Chongqing, a well-known historical and cultural city, has been a major place for military strategies and businesses all along the history. Chongqing was founded more than 3,000 years ago and got its city name for more than 800 years. It was opened as a port in 1891, established as a municipality in 1929, liberated in 1949 and became a Centrally-Administered Municipality in 1997. Since then, Chongqing has entered into a new development period.
