Located at Changjiahui Plaza in Nan’an District, the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery covers a total floor area of 17,000 square meters, of which 13,000 square meters are for exhibitions. Renovated from an unused garage, the Gallery is designed by a team led by academician Cui Kai of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The exterior resembles the cursive Chinese character “起” (Qi) which literally means “rising up”, symbolizing the city’s booming development and the enterprising spirit of Chongqing. With an average width of 2.5 meters, the walkway outside the Gallery is 218 meters long. The slope is suitable, and it snakes up and down. Along this path, you can stroll up and down the Gallery while taking in the view of the confluence of the two rivers and the surrounding mountains and rivers.
